Sincerely, Mrs. Burke 12/1/2009Stuck on a tricky word? Try Reading Strategies
If I'm stuck,
look at the picture.
If I'm stuck, think.
What starts like that and makes sense?
If I'm stuck,
say it slowly.
If I'm stuck,
look for a chunk.
If I'm stuck,
think of a word like it.
If I'm stuck,
skip it, read on, and go back.
