Parent Teacher Committee ( PTC) Overview
Parents and Teachers working together for the enrichment of our children.
The overall goal of our school’s Parent Teacher Committee is to support the staff in their efforts to educate our children.
Fundraising allows us to offset the costs of many school activities. Traditionally we have 1 major school wide fundraiser each year. The profits go to an activity fund that is used to supplement things such as; field trips, field day and other student enrichment programs.
We also sponsor dances and other evening events such as the 4-H Talent show. These evening programs allow the students to interact on a social level in a safe and healthy environment and the profits from these activities are used to support our Hospitality and staff appreciation programs.
These events also depend on parent volunteers to be successful. We encourage each of you to volunteer whenever possible. The PTC periodically sends out newsletters and announcements to keep you informed and to ask for help with specific events.
If you would like to be added to our list you can go to the front office and fill out a Volunteer and Email notification form.
PTC Meetings
Our school holds an evening PTC planning meeting each month. It is open to all parents so please join us when you can and be part of this process. We need your ideas and help to make our committee successful.
Most of the Committee Coordinators will be leaving the school next year. We need new parents to fill their positions for next year. In order to have continuity in the committee and to help insure the PTC remains strong and active at LGMS, we need for you to attend the meetings during this school year. Please feel free to contact any of the current committee coordinators if you want more information about specific activities or to see how you can help.
All PTC meetings are held on Monday night starting at 7:00 p.m. unless other wise noted.
