OCHS Golf Tournament HUGE Success - A big thank you to all those who helped sell hole sponsors, raffle tickets, and played in the golf tournament. We hope to build on this and make it a yearly event. The funds raised will benefit all by paying VHSL dues and insurance fees on all the athletes. Congraulations to Jimmy Dodds who won the set of Ping Golf Clubs. |
| The OCHS Anglers took every possible place in the Junior State Qualifier July 10 & 11 except one. Winners will be advancing to the state finals held July 31 and Aug. 1 at Smith Mountain Lake. Congratulations to:
Travis Strother 1st had 4 fish limit, big fish- 4.05 and total weight 9.67 lbs: . Stephen Beasley 2nd had 4 fish limit, big fish- 3.61, and total weight 8.52 lbs: Austin Mitchell 4 fish limit, big fish 2.10, and total weight 8.03: Big Fish overall for the tournament: Kevin Beasley 4.84 lbs. Junior Varsity member Dylan McGhee qualified to go to the State finals with his total weight of 1.83.

| Boater Safety Class offered at OCHS by the OCHS Angler's ---donations are appreciated. August 1, 2010, noon to 4 pm in Room 154. All Youth, 18 and under, need this class by July, 2011. All adults need this class by July 2013. It is open to the public. Please enter the school from the back parking lot. |
